I have resisted this idea for a long time. When Jon first started talking about planning tomorrow today, it didn’t make much sense to me. I sort of tried it a few times, but I would plan some and then not follow it. But now it’s starting to make sense.
See, I have these blocks of time every day at work where I am free to fill my schedule how I best think it should be filled. I’ve started to fill this in with things, but there is still a lot of time, and I end up not getting the things done that need to get done. All the sudden, this concept of planning tomorrow, three days, three weeks and three months out is making a whole lot more sense to me.
So tomorrow at work I need to:
E-mail VandeHey
E-mail exhaust vent hood guy back
Spend time going over 2026 planning materials
Finish lemonade waste tracker
Clean up inbox a little bit
Consider brioche buns
E-mail Calvillos
Talk with Andy about blowing out the sprinklers and turning them off.
It’s a lot, actually, but really not much if I can be efficient with the e-mails. And just like that, I’ve already mostly planned tomorrow today by thinking ahead with what I would like to do. Win!
